Presentation
A goalkeeper in football and futsal since the age of 6 at various levels, Esteban Salido has been focusing on goalkeeper coaching for several years. He first started in clubs (currently head goalkeeper coach for the senior team at RCS Brainois - National Division 3 - and youth goalkeeper coach at Union Saint-Gilloise) and, since 2020, he has been the founder of the GoalKeepers University.
Methodology
Currently, many goalkeeper training sessions are based on repetitive movements and pre-established sequences without real decision-making.
Modern football requires a different approach to goalkeeper training. It is essential to provide goalkeepers with exercises that force them to react as they would in a match situation—initiating their own actions to keep up with an increasingly fast-paced game.
At GKPU, we place great emphasis on giving goalkeepers the confidence they need to excel in the modern game—a position that comes with many challenges. It is therefore essential to create the best possible mental conditions for them to perform at their highest level.
Esteban Salido wanted to bring something new to the mental, physical, and technical coaching of goalkeepers.

Group training
Our specialized training sessions include exercises that reflect real match situations for goalkeepers, while still reinforcing the fundamentals. We work individually, in pairs, or in groups of up to three goalkeepers per coach, ensuring focused and effective training in every session.
Individual training
During individual training sessions, the goalkeeper is analyzed movement by movement. When a movement is not performed correctly, we take the time to correct it until it becomes a conditioned reflex.
